I'm kind of curious to know some technical info about Kinja. I'd be curious to know what kind of load it is supporting, and what sort of hardware it is running on. I know Oppo and Jalopnik are probably a pretty small portion of it's total traffic.

Anyone have any idea where I could find out more?

All of Jalopnik and Oppo run on one 2009 Mac Pro running Cent OS

IIRC, they usually cite stats from Quantcast when referring to regular vs. unique visitors, so I think that'd be worth a look.

Judging by the errors I've seen, it's likely an Apache webserver running MySQL or PostGre SQL. Probably virtual clustered nodes on HP ProLiant hardware. Likely DL780 G7 or Gen8

I guess I haven't paid too much attention to the errors. If so, those are some pretty specific errors!

Not Ubuntu, eh?

(I've been learning some stuff at work recently. It turns out the flavour of Linux that Amazon uses for it's Amazon Linux for Elastic Beanstalk is pretty similar to CentOS.

Haha I dunno, just messing around.

All I know is that we use CentOS at work on our servers. At least I think we still do
